Development of India is possible by keeping away young generation  from Drugs : Amit Shah

Lucknow: Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah recently chaired the 7th top-level meeting of the Narco Coordination Center i.e. NCORD. On this occasion, Amit Shah reminded that Prime Minister Modi has set a target of making India first in every field by 2047, its achievement is possible only by keeping the young generation away from the curse of drugs.

We all know that the drug trade and drug addiction hollow out the future generation. A youth addicted to it makes his entire family suffer from extreme despair along with himself. The governments that ruled the country for decades after independence did not take any step in the fight against drugs. Rather, if seen, the illegal trade of drugs continued to flourish during the Congress government and the result was that the entire drug trade got associated with narco terror. Today the money coming from the earnings of drugs has become the most serious threat to the security of the country. But, as soon as he became the Prime Minister for the second time in a row in the year 2019, Modi ji handed over the command of eradicating the drug trade to Home Minister Amit Shah. With this, a new dawn began.

Shah, who considers drugs to be the biggest enemy of the young generation and especially the future generation of the country, has given clear instructions to all the agencies and state police to destroy its entire ecosystem. Amit Shah, who is ruthless towards the supply of drugs, strategic towards demand reduction, and has a human approach to harm reduction, has clearly warned the drug dealers that not even a single gram of drugs will come to India from anywhere and neither will India's borders be allowed to be used for the drug trade.

Amit Shah, who is engaged in building a drug-free India, clarified that only the government, agencies, and the country's 130 crore people together can win the fight against drugs. It was also emphasized that until every citizen of the country below the age of 35 years resolves to fight this battle and every citizen above the age of 35 years resolves to guide, it is difficult to win the battle against drug abuse.

Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the able guidance of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, in the last five years, the Home Ministry has made an unprecedented effort to fight this battle on the basis of three pillars of structural reforms, institutional and information reforms with a Whole of Government Approach. Under Shah's policies in the Modi government, agencies are now working vigorously on the formula of Duty to Share rather than Need to Know. If Amit Shah, the creator of New India, has resolved this issue, then the creation of a drug-free India will be certain in the coming years.

On this occasion, Shah launched the National Narcotics Helpline Portal 'MANAS'. Under this, there will be a toll-free number 1933, a web portal, a mobile app and an Umang app so that the citizens of the country can connect with NCB around the clock to share information on drug trafficking or to seek advice related to issues like drug abuse, de-addiction, and rehabilitation.
